Zusammenfassung

Die Gestalttherapie gehört zu den humanistischen Verfahren der Psychotherapie. Die humanistische Psychologie stellte die „dritte Kraft“ dar im Feld der Psychologie. Im Zuge der „spirituellen Wende“ in Esalen entstand die „transpersonale Psychologie“ als 4. Kraft. Es fand eine Ausweitung des Interesses der Psychologie statt vom Interpersonalen zum Transpersonalen. Kombinationen und Verschmelzungen von Gestalttherapie mit Praktiken aus Transpersonaler Psychologie und esoterischen Traditionen wurden selten auf ihre Verträglichkeit geprüft. Abstract

Transpersonal Therapy transcends the Borders of Psychotherapy. Gestalt therapy belongs to the humanistic methods of psychotherapy. Humanistic psychology represented the „third power“ in the psychological landscape. In the course of the „spiritual turn“ in Esalen, „transpersonal psychology“ developed as the fourth power. An expansion of the psychological interest, from interpersonal to transpersonal, took place. Combinations and affiliations of Gestalt therapy with elements of transpersonal psychology and esoteric traditions have only rarely been reviewed concerning their compatibility. This article is an invitation to focus on these connections.
