Integrative Traumatherapie

Abstract

Integrative Trauma Therapy – a body therapeutic approach of non-exposing therapy. Theoretical rational and practical procedure of Integrative Trauma Therapy is presented concisely with its specific methodology of Integrative and Differential Relaxation – Traumaformat (IDR-T). Special emphasis is given to the sociocultural context. The hyperstress reaction with its traumaspecific physiology is treated within the framework of a model how to work in »precarious life situations«. Drawing from neurophysiological models of quenching the traumaphysiology by special methods of relaxation and – if indicated – with ways of »moderate exposure« the patient is treated within the complex treatment concept of the integrative approach.
