Zusammenfassung

Ausgehend von einem Vergleich mit frühen Modellen, die noch von der Antipsychiatrie und der Drogen-Selbsthilfe inspiriert waren, wird geschildert, wie sich die Therapeutische Gemeinschaft in einer Fachklinik für junge Suchtkranke über einen längeren Zeitraum entwickelt und verändert hat. Es wird gezeigt, wie gruppentherapeutische Methoden und Selbst- bzw. Mitverantwortung der Patienten auf der Basis eines humanistischen Gesamtkonzepts ineinander greifen. Der Beitrag versteht sich als Plädoyer für die Beibehaltung einer erfolgreichen und langjährig bewährten Form der Alkohol- und Drogentherapie – gegen aktuelle Trends zur Individualisierung und Ökonomisierung.

Abstract

Plea for the therapeutic community – and against the actual tendency to econo-mise. The article discusses in comparison with earlier models – derived from anti-psychiatry and self-help groups – how a therapeutic community, which is based in a special clinic for young addicts, has developed and changed. It is demonstrated, how group therapy and the emphasis on responsability of the patients on the basis of a humanistic concept are interwoven. The article wants to make a plea for maintaning a successful and well proven form of therapy with alcohol and substance abusers and it is arguing against actual tendencies to individualise and economise.
