Zusammenfassung

Als klinische Psychologin und Psychotherapeutin in einer Klinik mit vielenpsychoanalytisch orientierten Kollegen ist die Autorin in den Patientenbesprechungen häufig mit den Konzepten von Übertragung und Gegenübertragung konfrontiert. In dem Artikel versucht sie, ausgehend von einer Begriffsklärung von Übertragung und Gegenuübertragung, diese Begriffemittels gestalttherapeutischer Theorien einzuordnen. Dabei zeigt sich, dass Übertragung und Gegenübertragung im Hier und Jetzt sowohl als Ganzheiten – bestehend aus einzelnen Teilen – als auch als Figuren, welche sich vor einem Hintergrund abbilden und zur Gestaltschließung drängen, verstanden werden können. Auf diese Weise können sie den Kontaktzyklus und die therapeutische Beziehung beeinflussen bzw. diese im Sinne einer emotionalen Resonanz unterstützen.

About the Relevance of Transference and Counter-Transference for Gestalt Therapy. A Th eoretical Classifi cation. As a clinical psychologist and psychotherapist in a hospital with many psychoanalytically oriented colleagues the authoress is frequently faced with the concepts of transference and counter-transference in case discussions. In this article she tries to put these terms on the basis of a term clarifi cation of transference and countertransference into its proper place within the framework of theories of Gestalt Therapy. It is demonstrated, that transference and counter-transference can be understood in the here-and-now as both integrated wholes – encompassing individual parts – and as fi gures, which are formed against a ground, pushing to reach closure. In this way they can aff ect the contact cycle and the therapeutic relationship respectively or rather support them in the sense of an emotional resonance.
